Job Description

The Property Accountant reports to the Controller (MMC ClubLink). The Property Accountant assists with daily accounting functions as needed as well as the general office and administrative needs of the Controller.

Qualifications

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Assist with the preparation of month end financial statements with internal and external requirements.
  • Preparing and posting journal entries, including reclassifications & accruals.
  • Reconciling daily and weekly bank statements.
  • Weekly sales and inventory upload checks
  • Providing support to the clubs with respect to the POS system and other various accounting and reporting needs.
  • Understanding of intercompany accounts.
  • Billings and Invoicing for special A/R accounts and third-party golf wholesalers.
  • Providing support to AP department including invoice processing, vendor statement review, check payments & filing as needed.
  • Compiling monthly sales tax reports
  • Strong Excel skills. Monthly backup schedules are maintained in Excel.
  • Special Projects and/or any other job-related duties that may be assigned.

Skills, Knowledge, Experience and Education

  • 2-year degree in accounting (4 year preferred)
  • 2 years experience (Golf, hospitality, or closely related accounting field preferred)
  • Proficiency in MS Office applications especially Excel and a strong working knowledge of POS/Accounting systems; experience with IBS, TEI, MS Dynamics and/or FRx a plus.

Additional Requirements

Drug test, credit / criminal background check and reliable transportation required.
