Toolroom Engineer

Based in Whitstable

Salary Negotiable

Mon to Thurs 8am-4.30pm + Fri 8am-1.30pm

Our client is a market-leading specialist manufacturer based in Whitstable. With exciting plans for continued expansion, they are now on the hunt for a Toolroom Engineer to join their team.

The successful Toolroom Engineer will support the in-house requirements of the business for the production of tooling.

As the Toolroom Engineer, you will be:

  • Producing new and refurbished tooling as well as making necessary improvements (both moulding and assembly of products)
  • Developing new and innovative tooling to aid manufacture
  • Carrying out model shop activities for the support of development samples and tooling for NPI
  • Machining tooling to exact tolerances

    Skills you will need:

  • Experience working as a Toolroom Engineer/Technician or Toolmaker
  • Experience of mould tool and assembly tool manufacture
  • Knowledge of CNC mills/lathes and machining to exacting tolerances using various methods (grinding, turning and sparking etc.)
  • The ability to work to Engineering drawings
