Montana Group (MG) is a specialist food and events management business, operating several brands in the upper North Island with a range of food, service, and event operations. Jointly owned by Directors Dallas Fisher and Troy Reid, the Group is considered industry leading experts with over 20 years of experience. 

MG business and brands have grown from success and, because we started small, we’ve learnt along the way how to balance scale and innovation, with partnership-focus and care.   MG now employs close to 1,000 people across Tamaki Makaurau and Waikato regions with a breadth of backgrounds, knowledge, and expertise.  With 10 brands and more than 30 kitchens across two cities, the Group is now recognised as the largest, privately-owned caterer in New Zealand.

CUSTOMER SERVICE:

• Deliver a consistently outstanding service to our customers.
• Operate EFTPOS, cash register and accept payments.
• Advise customers regarding food and beverage choices.
• Ensure all food and beverage is accounted for and on-charged appropriately.
• Add value to the team and help grow sales (where applicable). 

BARISTA DUTIES

• Consistently brew high quality coffee and hot drinks to order.
• Maintain a high standard of catering equipment and ensure all property is handled with care.
• Ensure the barista service areas are kept clean and tidy.
• Assist in day-to-day operations, counter service, cleaning down the coffee machine and helping in other areas.
• Seek opportunities to learn and grow your skills and support the Company.
• Attend training sessions.
• Follow hygiene, grooming and presentation guidelines.

HEALTH, SAFETY & WELLNESS

• Follow safe working practices.
• Report any hazards, accidents, incident and near miss events or unsafe activities.
• Ensure that all responsibilities outlined in specific Health and Safety procedures are met.

OTHER DUTIES & PROJECTS

• Actively contribute to your business unit’s improvements, projects and ideas where required.
• Role model the Montana Group beliefs and ‘I Make The Difference’.

ESSENTIAL

• Passionate about coffee, and capable of making delicious beverages. 
• Ability to learn, and work as an integral part of hot beverages preparation and presentation.

DESIRABLE

• NZQA Unit Standards in basic food hygiene.
• Experience in the hospitality industry.
• Barista skills.
