This role is a unique opportunity to delve deep into the realms of private equity, private credit, real estate strategies, and alternative investments.  As a Private Market Associate on Moneta's Private Market Team, you will be at the forefront of analyzing and delivering top-tier investment solutions, and play a crucial role in enhancing our client experience through meticulous research, due diligence, and strategic analysis.

As a Private Market Associate, you will be tasked with the identification, evaluation, and ongoing monitoring of investment opportunities.  You'll have the chance to work collaboratively with other analysts and senior leadership, contributing to a wide array of projects spanning global capital markets.  Your role will involve a mix of quantitative and qualitative analyses, manager selection, and maintaining robust investment databases.  You'll also be responsible for crafting insightful investment analyses, reports, and presentations tailored to our diverse client base and internal teams.

Curiosity, strategic thinking, and analytical skills will be instrumental in influencing our investment decisions and maintaining the high standards of our portfolios.  This position offers a fast-paced intellectually stimulating environment, where you will regularly engage with both internal teams and external clients, thereby playing a pivotal role in shaping our investment strategies and client portfolios.

Essential Responsibilities

• Source, evaluate, and monitor private market investment opportunities globally
• Conduct in-depth investment due diligence and document findings
• Develop and manage relationships with private investment managers
• Provide detailed investment analyses and presentations for existing and prospective clients
• Design and recommend tailored investment mixes for existing and prospective clients
• Maintain and update analytical data across various software platforms
• Participate in and lead manager/fund sourcing and diligence meetings
• Contribute to the development of investment themes and market analyses
• Collaborate in team discussions, providing feedback and challenging colleagues' work
• Assist in the continuous improvement of investment processes and strategies

• Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting or related field preferred
• 3-5 years of relevant investment experience in private markets
• Familiarity with a range of investment vehicles and strategies, with a particular focus in private equity
• Proficiency in advanced Excel and other financial analysis tools
• CFA and/or CAIA (or progress towards) designation is desirable
