Job Description

Job Overview: The External Business Director is responsible for driving traffic to the communities by creating and fostering relationships with key referral sources, generating referrals, executing community outreach, community events and marketing initiatives.

Key Responsibilities and Duties:

· Create and foster key relationships with referral sources to support community growth.

· Generate referrals to assigned communities.

· Drive community outreach and implement marketing initiatives to boost visibility and engagement.

· Schedule, plan, and attend external events to strengthen partnerships and promote Monarch and The Current brand.

· Develop and execute community outreach strategies to attract prospective residents.

· Collaborate with Sales Director, Executive Director, marketing team, and regional sales to align efforts and maximize impact.

· Assists in the development and implementation of marketing plans that will result in meeting or exceeding performance expectations.

· Manages and maintains a working knowledge of the professional referral tracking and marketing software programs and systems.

· Maintains an active, working knowledge of current competitors.

· Maintains and communicates current product information to the team members (pricing, program changes, promotional programs).

· Participates in and attends all in-service training as scheduled

· Ensures compliance with all Federal, State, and local regulations, as well as community policies and procedures

· Other duties as assigned

Specific goals include but are not limited to:

· 15 scheduled professional sale visits a week

· 3 external events and/or presentations per month

· 1 professional event at the community per quarter

· 2 external sales calls with NEW referral sources per month

· One e-blast per month to key referral sources

· 2 targeted marketing campaigns per quarter

· 3 Social media posts weekly

Collaboration and Teamwork:

· Work closely with the Sales Director and Executive Director to identify needs and develop tailored strategies.

· Partner with the marketing team and regional sales to ensure cohesive messaging and campaign execution.

Qualifications

Qualifications and Skills:

· Proven experience in marketing, business development, and sales.

· Strong ability to build and nurture professional relationships.

· Excellent organizational and communication skills.

· Strategic thinker with the ability to implement creative outreach and marketing initiatives.

· Experience in event planning and external engagement.

· Bachelor’s Degree from a four-year college or university preferred, or one to two years related experience and/or training.

· Experience working with the elderly population.

· Ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant such action.

· Demonstrate strong interpersonal communication skills.

· Knowledge of federal and state regulations pertaining to assisted living.

· Proficiency in computer skills, Microsoft Office (Windows, Outlook, Excel) with the ability to learn new applications.
