Job Description
We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Wellness Nurse (LPN) to join our healthcare team in Southbury, United States. This part-time position on the NOC(11pm-7am) shift offers an opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of our residents while working in a supportive and professional environment.
- Monitor the health, safety, and well-being of all residents during night shifts
- Assist in medication administration and provide training to care staff
- Supervise care staff in accordance with current state regulations and community policies
- Maintain clinical quality assurance in line with federal, state, and local standards
- Conduct thorough resident assessments and document findings accurately
- Promote the highest degree of service to our residents while embodying our organization's mission
- Collaborate with the Health and Wellness Director (RN) to ensure comprehensive care
- Respond promptly to residents' needs and emergencies during night hours
- Contribute to the creation of a calm and restful environment for residents during nighttime
Qualifications
- Graduation from an accredited School of Nursing with a current LPN license
- At least 2 years of experience in long-term care, assisted living, home health, or hospital setting preferred
- Experience working with residents with Alzheimer's or other related dementias is highly desirable
- Proven ability to work night shifts and maintain alertness and efficiency
- Strong knowledge of federal and state regulations related to nursing practices and resident care
- Proficiency in computer skills, including Microsoft Office (Windows, Outlook, Excel) with the ability to learn new applications
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact with residents, families, and team members
- Physical stamina to stand, walk, and perform tasks requiring fine and gross motor skills
- Ability to lift or carry weights up to 50 lbs and support residents using proper body mechanics
- Demonstrated empathy, patience, and commitment to providing high-quality, person-centered care
- Strong attention to detail and ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Flexibility to adapt to changing situations and resident needs during night shifts
