As the Director of IT, you will play a crucial role in managing and leading our IT department to ensure the smooth operation of our technology infrastructure and the successful delivery of IT services to support our business operations worldwide.  

Responsibilities:  

1. IT Strategy and Planning: 

  • Develop and implement the company's IT strategy aligned with overall business objectives. 
  • Collaborate with senior management to identify and prioritize technology initiatives that drive innovation, efficiency, and competitive advantage. 
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies to recommend strategic IT investments.  

2. IT Operations Management: 

  • Oversee the day-to-day operations of the IT department, ensuring high availability and reliability of technology infrastructure and systems. 
  • Manage a team of IT professionals, providing guidance, mentorship, and performance feedback. 
  • Establish and enforce IT policies, standards, and procedures to ensure security, compliance, and data integrity. 
  • Monitor IT service levels, identify areas for improvement, and implement process enhancements to optimize IT operations.  

3. Infrastructure and Network Management: 

  • Plan, design, and implement robust and scalable IT infrastructure with a focus on cloud services 
  • Ensure the availability and performance of network and telecommunications systems,
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and implement disaster recovery and business continuity plans.  

4. Information Security and Risk Management: 

  • Develop and enforce information security policies and procedures to protect company data, systems, and intellectual property. 
  • Conduct regular security assessments, vulnerability scanning, and penetration testing to identify and address security risks. 
  • Stay updated on the latest security threats and industry best practices, and implement appropriate measures to mitigate risks.  

5. Vendor Management: 

  • Evaluate and select technology vendors and manage vendor relationships, ensuring service level agreements are met. 
  • Negotiate contracts and pricing, and oversee vendor performance to ensure quality service delivery. 
  • Collaborate with procurement and legal teams to review and approve IT-related contracts and agreements. 

6. Budgeting and Resource Management: 

  • Develop and manage the IT department's budget, ensuring cost-effective utilization of resources. 
  • Identify and procure necessary hardware, software, and services to meet business requirements. 
  • Optimize resource allocation, including staffing, to maximize efficiency and productivity.  

Qualifications

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).  
  • Proven experience (8+ years) in IT management roles, preferably in a global software company.  
  • Strong knowledge of IT infrastructure, network design, and cybersecurity principles.  
  • Experience in strategic planning, budgeting, and resource management.  
  • Strong familiarity with the Microsoft technology stack 
  • Familiarity with cloud technologies and enterprise applications.  
  • Excellent leadership and team management skills.  
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.  
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.  
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., CISSP, PMP, ITIL) are a plus.
