Job Description

This is a non-exempt position responsible for ordering, expediting, processing, handling, and tracking all parts and materials used by Mokulele Airlines. This position is responsible for the stock room and accounts for the inventory of retables, consumable’s, expendables, aircraft calibrated tooling and all items pertaining to aircraft maintenance that are maintained by the stock room personnel.  

Key Responsibilities:

  • Issues parts and tooling from stockroom.
  • Prepares parts and material for shipping. Initiates the screening process for items shipped in to the facility.
  • Reviews and processes packing slips and vendor documentation on received parts.
  • Controls the release of inventory and assets and ensures the security and integrity of all property located in the stockroom.
  • Prepares paperwork and/or performs computer input/output required to document warehouse activities.
  • Verifies, counts and processes all incoming and outgoing orders, materials, and documentation.
  • Verify inventory computations by comparing them to physical counts of stock, and investigate discrepancies or adjust errors.
  • Do annual inventory for accounting department.
  • Identifies discrepancies and damaged materials and reports them to the Director of Maintenance for corrective action.
  • Completes and maintains cycle count sheets and other required reports and documentation.
  • Performs general duties to include but not limited to shipping, receiving, operating forklifts, locating and storing parts, unpacking and packing parts.
  • Maintains knowledge of aircraft parts certification, traceability requirements, expired material, tool calibration.
  • Handles and resolves maintenance complaints, special orders, or returns.
  • Coordinates repairs with the Mokulele Airlines AZ office.
  • Dispose of damaged or defective items, or return them to vendors.
  • Provide assistance, training, and/or direction to other stockroom personnel whenever necessary.
  • Recommend disposal of excess, defective, or obsolete stock.
  • Communicate with CESCOM/CAMP as the need arises via phone or email.
  • Send daily email to parts purchaser with information as to what parts are becoming low in stock.
  • Input ETCM into The Trend Group when information becomes available.
  • Other duties as assigned by the Director of Maintenance.

Qualifications

  • Current driver’s license (required)
  • 3 years of experience in general aviation, or part 135 or 121 air carrier operations or corporate aircraft (preferred)
  • Solid administrative and organizational skills.
  • Proven ability to work well with customers and with all management levels within the operation.
  • Technical interpretation skills.
  • Strong communication skills for interfacing with both internal and external customers.
  • Strong computer skills.
  • Able to interface with all departments within the company, including maintenance and finance.
  • Able to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Ability to be trained in the requirements of handling hazardous materials as specified 49 CFR parts 171 through 180.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain an airport security badge for Kona International Airport.
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear; to sit, stand, walk, climb, or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl, handle objects, tools, to reach with hands and arms; and to lift or move 70 pounds.
