RNLI College is the home of RNLI training, where willing lifeboat volunteers from across the UK and Ireland are trained to become able crew members. It’s also a 60 bedroom hotel, conference venue, wedding venue and event venue like no other.

Job Description

Contract Type: Permanent 
Hours: 37.5 hours per week
Salary: £9.15 per hour

The ideal candidate will be a multitasker with previous hospitality experience in a modern hotel/restaurant environment. They will be passionate about great customer service, be able to work well within a team and on their own initiative. They will be flexible, professional and have a proactive approach to provide the highest standards of service to the RNLI clients and their guests.

The shifts will consist of working 5 days a week (also weekends and Bank Holidays) and include a combination of early, middle and late shifts starting anywhere between 7am and finishing anytime up to 11pm or midnight. Usual shift is 8 hours (with half an hour break) and it is a straight shift (no split shifts).

Qualifications

Experience in portering or manual handling and A strong communicator, who can easily interact with customers and team members. You will need relationship building skills, customer care, attention to detail and the ability to work on your own initiative and manage your own time. You will need to be well presented with a professional appearance and attitude with a positive and professional approach.
