Main duties:

Covering different corporate sites holidays sickness and as/when required. 

Pay rate:  £9.50 per hour

This role would be ideal for an experienced officer looking to add variety to their working experience. Having the flexibility to work across a number of sites will allow the successful candidate to continue to develop their career by adding the experience of working within different sectors of the security industry.

Duties will include:

  • Conducting shift handover procedures at the start and end of each shift to ensure all matters of concern or note occurring during a shift are passed on for the purposes of service and incident management continuity
  • Writing complete and accurate handover and incident reports and taking appropriate action as required on all reports passed to you at the commencement or during a duty shift
  • Ensuring the safety and security of our clients’ buildings and assets by carrying out all duties in full adherence with the Site Assignment Instructions.
  • Working as part of a team to provide Conflict Resolution assistance at client premises where there is potential for conflict
  • Greeting, assisting and directing members of the public visiting the premises of our clients
  • The corporate relief security officer will demonstrate their character as determined, trustworthy, attentive and approachable at all times when welcoming clients and customers – ensuring ID badges are created, allocated and collected when appropriate.
  • As the first point of contact for to all customers and clients, the Security Agents must have geographically awareness of their local surroundings.
  • Travel to various corporate sites to cover sickness, holiday and provide support to the core team when required.
  • Must be able to man the phones, emails, IT systems and Alarms, Doors and Car park if need be.
  • The relief security officer must spot and stop all suspicious sightings or potential criminal activity and retain full control until the arrival of emergency services.
  • Report to the Security Operations Manager – they must record, report and escalate all sightings and arrests on a regular basis.

Qualifications

Person Specification

  • 5-year checkable work history Vetting is essential before start position. 
  • Door Supervision or Security Guarding License essential.
  • A Full UK Driving licence and access to own vehicle are required.
  • The relief security officer will need to be a team player with an enthusiastic attitude.
  • The relief security officer should be able to work on own initiative.
  • Corporate Security experience.
  • Ability to travel to various sites.
  • Flexible Approach to work to suit the business needs.
  • Excellent communication skills are required both written and verbal.
  • It is important the Security Officer is calm under pressure.
  • Understand the Health and Safety at Work Act, relevant Criminal, Civil Law and Police and Criminal Evidence Act.
  • Door Supervision or Security Guarding License essential.
