Salary: Basic rate £9.24; OT rate £10.99
Hours: Approx 38 Hours
Shift Pattern: MTxxFSS-xxWTxxx ; 0700am - 0700pm
Week 1 and 3 Monday, Tuesday Friday Saturday Sunday
Week 2 and 4 Wednesday Thursday
Contract: Fixed Term with the possibility of a permanent contract
- Work within our great cleaning team in a warehouse environment and carrying out duties effectively and efficiently.
- Your duties will include the following: cleaning of canteens, offices, washrooms and warehouse; hovering and sweeping, use of scrubber dryers and other cleaning machines; managing waste disposal and basic sanitisation. We will provide you with full training.
- Ensure all equipment is kept clean, well maintained and is in safe working order.
- React quickly to any spillages and call-outs from the client.
- Communicate effectively with your team and a line manager – we all work together.
- Wear protective clothing (PPE) and comply with Health & Safety legislation and policies.
- Use appropriately cleaning equipment, materials and chemical – all training will be provided.

- Experience is preferred but not essential; please still contact us even if you have not work in a cleaning environment before.

- Communicative English is essential, you may be required to prove your knowledge of English by passing a English language assessment
- You will be required to complete the basic disclosure (DBS check) in line with the Contract requirements, we will arrange this for you.
- You will be required to undertake the drug and alcohol screening test.
Health and Safety responsibilities:
- Follow Group and company policies and procedures at all times;
- Report any apparent deficiencies in systems of work or equipment provided that may result in failure of service delivery or risk to health and safety or the environment;
- Use all work equipment and personal PPE properly and in accordance with training received;
- Report any issues or training needs to your Line manager and /or via your divisional incident reporting system;
- Ensure compliance with Mitie's information security procedures in all activities;
- Proactively identify and report security risks to your manager;
- Report actual and suspected security incidents;
