Job Title: Sr. Business Development
Job Location: Ashram Road, Ahmedabad
Key Result Areas
1) Develop new business contacts from nominated prospects and the prospect universe.
2) Identify and evaluate opportunities, assess competitor activity and interest and, in consultation with the Sales/Business Development Manager, make the decision to proceed with the contact strategy.
3) Extend existing products into new market areas by approaching new clients, presenting proposals and closing the sale.
4) Plan sales/Development strategy, qualify business issues and create consultative dialogue, i.e. by incorporating the Consultancy team, improve customer service, understanding client requirements and ensuring Experian is appropriately represented to the client.
5) Lead any initiatives to adapt Experian products to meet local needs and requirements.
6) Principal contact with appropriate organizations, trade bodies, etc. in the local market Raise awareness of Experian as market place leader.
6) Contribute to the development of tactical business plans, undertaking client research and identifying prospects, clients and marketplaces to shape new business sales focus and search new vertical markets.
7) Contribute to the development of accurate forecasts and budgets.
8) Build effective working relationships at all levels and take responsibility for internal communications. Work with key divisions and individuals within Experian in order to develop new opportunities.
9) Make planning and strategy to achieve given targets.
Skills and Experience
- Bachelor’s or Academic degree.
- Minimum of 2 years related experience.
- Knowledge of credit scoring principles.
- Good knowledge of computer systems and processes applications.
- Knowledge of Hospitalities services and operations.
- Knowledge of legislation and regulations impacting on industry.
- Good organizational skills.
- Good problem solving and analytical skills.
- Ability to travel.
