Non-profit organization of several clinics, operating as a Federally Qualified Health Center dedicated to serving low income families in the San Fernando Valley, Antelope Valley and Los Angeles areas is seeking an Billing Supervisor. We are committed to providing quality care and numerous services including pediatrics, family medicine, ob./gyn., dentistry, health education, and mental health.

We are seeking a Full-Time Billing Supervisor for our North Hills/Parthenia office which serves all of our MCCN clinic sites.

Responsibilities:

• Posting charges, payments, and adjustments
• Perform all billing aspects including but not limited to  verifying insurance eligibility & benefits, billing insurance, claims follow up, appeals, collections, and account audits
• Answer billing correspondence and telephone calls regarding applicable accounts
• Supervise and lead a team of Billing and Filing Clerks
• Complete other duties, projects as assigned

Job Requirements:

• Medical Billing Diploma/Certificate is preferred
• Two years supervisory experience required
• A minimum of 3 years experience in a medical billing environment required
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced professional environment
• Self Starter who requires minimal supervision
• Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail
• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or related field required

Special Skills & Abilities:

• Good interpersonal skills
• Computer literacy, including proficiency with Microsoft Outlook 2010 preferred
• Experience with authorization requests and insurance verification – HMO, PPO, Medicare, MediCal, MHN, MHLA etc.
