Popular gastro pub restaurant currently has a great opportunity for a head chef who enjoys producing great British seasonal food working with quality suppliers and would like to be involved in the development of the food offering.

The owner of this independent 3 site operator is looking for a head chef who can build on the existing reputation serving seasonal homemade quality food creating new specials , and to have creative input on the existing menu.


Role


Menu creation 



Daily Smooth Running of the Kitchen 



Menu Planning – costing & recipe specification



Stock Control: Supplier Liaison, Ordering, Invoices, Stock Counting, Wastage Control



Kitchen Rotas, Recruitment, Team Training & Development, Personnel Files



Due Diligence: Food Hygiene, H&S Records & Cleaning Rosters



Candidate Profile



Proven Head Chef experience gained within quality Gastro fresh food site



Strong Leadership, Communication, Organisation & Technical Skill



Genuine Passion to Cook



Ability to Motivate & Train team members effectively



Strong on Due Diligence – up to date on current Hygiene Legislation



Genuine intention to offer long term commitment to next role



Salary & Benefits



£36- 38 k per annum 



3 Months Probationary Period: Regular Performance Related Salary Reviews & Well Structured & Professional Working Environment



Working Hours: 50 – 55 Hrs P/Wk (7 Shifts over 5 Days)
2 consecutive days off - nearby Maidstone


Meals on Duty + Chef Uniform
