Job Description
We are looking for a Senior Front End Developer with strong expertise in React to join our team. You will help us work on solutions and implement technologies that will improve the user experience. The project involves patented technology, making it possible for anyone with a smartphone camera to create an interactive 3D model, complete with detailed measurements and powerful design features.
Working Hours: PTS time zone (at least 4 hours)
Responsibilities:
- Working closely with engineering, product, design, and other business stakeholders to align on project goals, gather and refine requirements, and ensure seamless execution.
- Evaluating different technical approaches, discussing potential tradeoffs, and recommending optimal solutions to address complex challenges.
- Driving the development and refinement of services and tools, ensuring high-quality implementation, and optimizing performance and scalability.
- Partnering with product managers and technical experts to define, develop, and successfully roll out new features that enhance user experience and business value.
- Identifying opportunities for process enhancements, incorporating feedback from stakeholders, and implementing best practices to improve system efficiency and team productivity.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of development experience in front-end applications using React, JavaScript/Typescript.
- Experience with GraphQL and consuming and designing RESTful APIs
- A solid understanding of modern web-development technologies and workflows, from backend DB to user-facing interfaces.
- Working in existing codebases to make incremental improvements in line with product priorities.
- Experience with working cross-functionally across multiple stakeholder groups to drive the product forward
- A strong focus on users and how they interact with our products
- Excellent written and verbal communication
Nice to have:
- Backend development experience (we use Ruby on Rails, PostgreSQL, Sidekiq)
- Experience with WebGL and libraries such as three.js
- Experience developing and launching A/B tests at scale
- Experience in a high-growth technology startup is a plus
- Experience working on both the frontend and backend, and anything it takes to solve problems and delight users both internally and externally
