Job Description
Join us in revolutionizing customer experiences with our client, a global leader in cloud contact center software. As a Junior Site Reliability Engineer, you will work closely with senior engineers to support and improve the observability, reliability, and performance of complex cloud-based systems. This is a great opportunity to develop your skills in monitoring, automation, and troubleshooting production services while learning from experienced SREs.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in monitoring approximately 30 microservices and ensure system health and performance.
- Help build and maintain dashboards for system observability and reporting.
- Participate in troubleshooting production issues, escalating where necessary.
- Collaborate with service owners to collect requirements and improve monitoring coverage.
- Support automation initiatives to streamline reporting and log management.
- Contribute to a consistent look and feel of dashboards for quick issue identification.
Qualifications
- 1+ years of experience working as an SRE or in a similar role (DevOps, Production Support).
- Basic understanding of SQL and NoSQL databases (e.g., Redis, MongoDB, PostgreSQL, MySQL).
- Familiarity with at least one programming or scripting language (Python preferred).
- Basic knowledge of cloud concepts and modern software delivery practices.
- General understanding of version control (Git).
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills, willingness to learn.
Nice to have:
- Exposure to monitoring tools (Grafana, Prometheus, ELK stack, etc.).
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and automation practices.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related technical field.
