Responsibilities:

• L3 fixes (on-call duties for EDW issues resolution)
• Design stable and reliable SQL Server Databases for custom applications
• Optimize existing SQL Server Databases
• Work with Application Developers to gather database related requirements
• Assist and educate Application Developers with database related issues
• Work with Production DBA’s to solve production database issues
• Test modification to databases and apply them
• Review SQL written by developers for accuracy, scalability, and performance
• Recommend improvements to database design and architecture
• Evaluate and recommend tools, platforms or frameworks as needed
• Conducts all business in a professional and ethical manner to serve customers and increase the goodwill and profit of the company

• Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university
• 2+ years of SQL / T-SQL Tuning experience
• 2+ years of working with software developers
• Proven work experience as a SQL Developer
• Ability to write scalable and high-performance SQL
• In-depth understanding of using SQL Execution Plans to troubleshoot SQL
• Experience using Dynamic Views when troubleshooting databases
• Excellent analytic skills
• Superb verbal and written communication skills
• Proficiency with MS Office
