We’re looking for engineers that know how to build scalable distributed solutions, and keep them up and running by managing complexity and fault domains. Members with experience developing cloud applications and data pipelines that values automation

Engineering at Shipa is largely a remote team. While prior experience working remotely isn't required, we are looking for team members who perform well given a high level of independence and autonomy.

Who you are, And what you’ve done

- BS/MS/Ph.D. in Computer Science or relevant experience
- Expertise with Go, have been developing software using Golang minimum of 3 to 5 years
- Design and develop extensible systems (tools, API, platforms) using Go lang
- Develop cloud-native systems primarily in Kubernetes ecosystem: containerd, BuildKit, Ingress, Kubernetes operator/crds
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Work with product management to understand requirements and propose best options, provide estimates, and implement solutions
- Strong data structures, design, algorithms, and coding skills
- Mentor others in the team and continually learn and improve by collaborating with team members
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skill

Nice to haves

- You know your way around CI/CD platforms and tools
- Experience designing and architecting cloud-based extensible systems
- Docker containers and Kubernetes
- Cloud providers and using their APIs (AWS, GCP, and Azure)
- Automation of actions based on data
- Experience with SQL and NoSQL databases
