Job Description
To complete the Project Team on our large digitalisation project Polaris, we are looking for an Engagement Manager available asap. He/She will be responsible for orchestrating all business-side activities required to ensure a smooth transition to the new operating model during cutover and go-live. Working closely with the Cutover Project Manager, functional leaders, and operational teams, the role defines business readiness, oversees process transitions, manages freeze periods, and ensures that business functions remain operational and controlled throughout the migration.
Business Readiness & Governance
- Define business cutover scope, governance, roles, and decision-making processes.
- Establish readiness criteria, freeze rules, and control mechanisms for all business units involved in the transition.
- Ensure alignment across Operations, Finance, Risk, Compliance, Front Office, and other impacted departments.
Planning & Transition Management
- Design and validate business transition states (ramp-down, ramp-up, coexistence, interim procedures).
- Coordinate business tasks across streams and ensure their integration into cutover artefacts (chronogram, runbook, roster).
- Lead preparation activities such as reconciliations, manual workarounds, early month-end processes, rejection handling, and remediation actions.
Execution & Delivery Assurance
- Oversee the execution of business activities during rehearsals and go-live, ensuring adherence to readiness criteria.
- Monitor risks, issues, and dependencies across business streams and escalate deviations promptly.
- Provide consistent reporting and communication to the Cutover PM and program leadership
Qualifications
- At least 10 years of experience in business operations, transformation programs, or cutover/go-live delivery roles;
- Proven experience coordinating cross-functional business teams during migrations or major operational changes;
- Experience in regulated financial environments and familiarity with banking operations is highly valuable;
- Strong understanding of business processes, operational workflows, and regulatory requirements within a banking environment;
- Proficiency in transition planning, business readiness frameworks, and operational risk controls;
- Ability to interpret cross-stream impacts, reconcile data, and define interim operating procedures;
- Excellent communication, facilitation, and stakeholder engagement skills across business and IT;
- Strong leadership, structure, and decision-making ability in high-pressure environments;
- High adaptability, analytical thinking, and resilience to manage complex and dynamic transition phases;
- Fluent French & English.
