Job Description

We are looking for a Legal Advisor to complete our team in Mirabaud's Head Office in Geneva. 

  • Provide expert and strategic legal advice to internal clients;
  • Evaluate and weigh impacts of decisions or course of actions from a legal perspective always applying an ethics and integrity based process;
  • Anticipate, identify and evaluate legal issues and related risks;
  • Support the Head of Legal with legal matters, including on litigation cases;
  • Review, research, interpret, and prepare both written and oral opinions on a wide variety of legal issues;
  • Draft and review legal documents such as account opening documents, various types of contracts, etc.
  • Draft and review policies and procedures as applicable to the legal department for approval by the Head of Legal;
  • Identify and suggest proactive and pragmatic solutions that will eliminate or mitigate risks;
  • Create and maintain relationships of trust and respect with internal clients;
  • Deal with external parties (external counsel and clients) and select, retain and manage outside counsel, as required by the head of Legal, to obtain legal advices or to handle claims and litigation;
  • Manage legal files independently with all stakeholders;
  • Meet the objectives set by the Head of Legal.

Qualifications

  • Masters in Swiss law and Swiss bar;
  • Minimum 3-5 years experience in a legal role in the financial sector;
  • Mastering financial law regulations as well as various legal areas such as contractual, inheritance, property rights and employment law;
  • Open minded with good communication skills and team spirit.;
  • Pragmatic and solution oriented;
  • Ability to deal with challenges and time pressure;
  • Ability to work autonomously;
  • Fluent French & English, ability to read German; other language, an asset;
