Job Description
Minor Hotels Australasia is currently looking for a motivated and dedicated Graduate Accountant to join our Finance team at our Maroochydore Office.
This role is perfect for someone who has recently completed their degree or is currently in the process of completing it. The position can start on a part-time basis to accommodate ongoing studies and transition to a full-time role, offering a seamless opportunity to grow into a long-term career with a globally recognised organisation.
As a Graduate Accountant, you will play a key role in supporting day-to-day accounting activities within the Finance department. You will also provide exceptional administrative support to the Finance Shared Services team.
Key Responsibilities Include:
- Assisting with monthly Profit & Loss reporting for a portfolio of properties
- Standard end of month journals including accruals, revenue and reclasses for a portfolio of properties
- Expense allocations across the group
- Balance Sheet Reconciliation
- Bank reconciliations
- AR Receipting
- Attending to Finance Help Desk queries
- Assisting properties with all finance related queries
- Review reports from our Property Management System and identify any errors requiring correction before EOM
Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- Hold a Bachelor of Accounting or Certificate IV in Bookkeeping or working toward this
- Prior Administration / Hospitality or Customer Service experience is preferable
- Exceptional attention to detail
- Excellent written and spoken communication and interpersonal skills
- Effective planning and organisational skills to manage pressure situations, multiple tasks and ability to work with a sense of urgency
- Ability to deal sensitively and maturely with confidential information and records
- Solid data entry skills
