Avani+ Lanexang Vientiane Hotel set to open in Q2 2026 will bring contemporary style and Laotian flair to the heart of the capital, just minutes from Wat Si Saket, Vientiane Night Market, and Chao Anouvong Park. The hotel’s 197 guest rooms and suites will blend modern design with local touches, offering its guests the choice of four dining venues, including an international all-day dining restaurant, a western comfort food concept and bar, and a Southeast Asian fine-dining restaurant. Guests will enjoy Avani Spa with five treatment rooms, an Avani Fit fitness centre and studio, an outdoor swimming pool, and versatile event spaces including a ballroom for up to 320 guests.
Job Description
As the Personal Assistant to the General Manager, you will play a crucial role at the heart of our leadership team, ensuring seamless coordination, communication, and organization as we prepare to open one of Vientiane’s most exciting new lifestyle hotels.
This is not a traditional administrative role, it is a rare opportunity to partner closely with a highly experienced General Manager, gain exposure to strategic decision‑making, and contribute meaningfully to the hotel’s pre‑opening journey and operational launch.
We are looking for someone polished, proactive, and exceptionally reliable. A natural organizer who thrives in a fast‑paced, international environment and understands the professionalism required to support a senior executive.
Key Responsibilities
Executive Support & Coordination
- Provide comprehensive executive assistance to the General Manager, including calendar management, meeting coordination, correspondence drafting, and task prioritization.
- Screen, filter, and prioritize incoming communications to ensure the GM’s time is allocated effectively.
- Prepare meeting agendas, minutes, briefing notes, and follow‑up actions.
Pre‑Opening & Operational Support
- Assist the GM with pre‑opening documentation, project timelines, stakeholder communication, and interdepartmental coordination.
- Support the onboarding and organization of key team members during pre‑opening.
- Maintain accurate filing systems, operational documents, and confidential files.
Internal & External Liaison
- Serve as a professional point of contact for internal teams, corporate offices, property partners, suppliers, and VIP guests.
- Coordinate GM‑related activities and ensure smooth communication across all departments.
Administrative Excellence
- Prepare polished reports, presentations, communication briefs, and business correspondence.
- Manage travel arrangements, expenses, and logistics for the General Manager.
- Anticipate needs and proactively resolve issues before they arise.
Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years of experience as an Executive Assistant / Personal Assistant, preferably supporting senior leadership within hospitality, luxury retail, aviation, or multinational companies.
- Outstanding communication skills: confident, articulate, and diplomatic in English and Lao.
- Strong organizational and time‑management skills with the ability to handle multiple priorities gracefully.
- High level of discretion, confidentiality, and emotional intelligence.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and ability to prepare professional presentations and documents.
- Polished professional appearance and a warm, service‑minded attitude.
- Strong cultural awareness and ability to interact with international executives and stakeholders.
- Fluency in Lao required.
- Above average fluency in English (written and spoken) required.
- Above average fluency in Vietnamese (spoken only) preferred.
