Job Description

Engineering & Maintenance

  • Attend to all guest room and public area maintenance requests promptly and professionally.
  • Carry out preventive and corrective maintenance for electrical, plumbing, HVAC, mechanical, and civil systems.
  • Troubleshoot and repair faults in equipment, machinery, and building infrastructure.
  • Ensure proper operation of generators, water treatment plants, sewage systems, fire safety systems, and BMS (if applicable).
  • Perform regular inspections to identify maintenance issues and safety hazards.

Shift Operations

  • Act as the in-charge of the Engineering department during assigned shifts.
  • Allocate tasks to technicians and monitor work progress to ensure timely completion.
  • Maintain accurate records of work orders, maintenance logs, and materials used.
  • Coordinate with other departments to support daily resort operations.

Guest Service

  • Respond to guest complaints related to engineering issues with courtesy and efficiency.
  • Communicate clearly with guests regarding repair timelines and solutions.
  • Ensure minimal disruption to guest comfort during maintenance activities.

Safety & Compliance

  • Ensure compliance with resort safety standards, SOPs, and statutory regulations.
  • Participate in emergency response procedures, including fire, power failure, and water system emergencies.
  • Ensure tools, equipment, and work areas are maintained in a safe condition.

Team & Contractor Supervision

  • Guide and support junior technicians during duty hours.
  • Supervise external contractors and ensure work is completed as per resort standards.
  • Assist in on-the-job training and skill development of engineering team members.

Qualifications

  • Diploma or technical certification in Electrical, Mechanical, HVAC, or related engineering fields.
  • Minimum 2–5 years experience in hotel or resort engineering (luxury resort experience preferred).
  • Strong knowledge of electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and general maintenance systems.
  • Good communication skills and ability to work in a multicultural environment.
  • Willingness to work rotating shifts, including night duty and emergency calls.
