Job Description

Please note that this is not an exhaustive list of everything that needs to be done. NH Maldives Kuda Rah employees always find new ways to look after the business, their guests, and their colleagues. Within this, the key responsibilities for this position are:

1. Operations & Guest Experience

  • Daily spa operations to ensure smooth and efficient delivery service.
  • Supervise spa Team, ensuring service standards and grooming are consistently maintained.
  • Handle guest inquiries, feedback, and complaints professionally and promptly.
  • Monitor therapist schedules, treatment room allocations, and daily spa bookings.
  • Ensure spa cleanliness, hygiene, and ambiance are maintained according to brand standards.
  • Allocate and supervise daily opening and closing procedures.
  • Train and Manage Receptionist in handling overbookings and VIP guest arrangements.
  • Ensure all spa products and equipment are in good condition and properly stocked
  • Identify areas for improvement and implement a continuous improvement program.
  • To ensure all team members understand each of their own responsibilities.
  • Ensure retail displays are maintained, and stock is interesting and exciting.
  • Ensure that fitness wellness center is clean at all times.

 2. Administration & Financials

  • Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly spa reports.
  • Monitoring and achieving revenue targets and KPI goals.
  • Manage stock control, product usage, and monthly inventory checks.
  • Ensure accurate billing, cash handling, and adherence to accounting procedures.
  • Maintain all necessary records such as attendance, rosters, and training logs.
  • To give clear understanding to team about spa cost and all spa expenses.

 3. Sales, Marketing & Training

  • Promote spa treatments, memberships, and retail products to increase revenue.
  • Support marketing initiatives, promotions, and special spa events.
  • Conduct regular team briefings and motivate staff to achieve upselling targets.
  • Organized Upselling training, spa promotion, and event training for other departments.
  • Provide on-the-job training and ensure all team members follow SOPs and brand standards.
  • Work closely with the Brand to ensure that our Spa and hotel activities are coordinated.
  • Adhere to the company’s policy related to fire, hygiene, health, and safety.
  • Be aware of Audits (Ecolab/Food Safety/ Green Growth) and take necessary actions.
  • Plan monthly training and record hours with signed training sheets.

4. Leadership & Team Management

  • Follow up performance evaluations and regular 1:1 with team about performance.
  • Ensure positive communication and teamwork among spa team.
  • Maintain professional grooming standards and behavior within the team.
  • Conducted any other related duties as assigned by General Manager.
  • Plan and create internal spa promotion package with General Manager and hotel.
  • Monitor memos from General Manager for all Team Member to receive updated information
  • To carry out the other duties as assigned by the management team.
  • To be in touch with all MSpa Leaders of Maldives and being actively involved.

Qualifications

  • CIBTAC certification would be an advantage
  • Minimum 2 years’ in similar role or above within a spa or wellness environment
  • Certified Spa Therapist with strong knowledge of spa therapies, treatments and industry standards
  • Computer literate and comfortable using spa booking systems
  • Strong understanding of hygiene, sanitation and safety standards in spa operations
  • Proven ability to lead, coach and develop a multicultural team
  • Good product knowledge in skincare, aromatherapy and wellness retail
  • Ability to manage guest feedback and ensure high service recovery standards
  • Good financial understanding including cost control, inventory, treatment revenue and upselling
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and peak resort periods
