Job Description

Operations & Guest Experience

• Support the Spa & Wellness Manager in daily spa operations to ensure smooth and efficient delivery service.

• Supervise spa receptionists, therapists, wellness instructor and Spa Attendant, ensuring service standards are consistently maintained.

• Handle guest inquiries, feedback, and complaints professionally and promptly.

• Monitor therapist schedules, treatment room allocations, and daily spa bookings.

• Ensure spa cleanliness, hygiene, and ambiance are maintained according to brand standards.

• Manage daily opening and closing procedures. • Assist in handling overbookings and VIP guest arrangements.

• Ensure all spa products and equipment are in good condition and properly stocked.

 

Administration & Financials

• Assist in preparing daily, weekly, and monthly spa reports.

• Support in monitoring and achieving revenue targets and KPI goals.

• Manage stock control, product usage, and monthly inventory checks.

• Ensure accurate billing, cash handling, and adherence to accounting procedures.

• Maintain all necessary records such as attendance, rosters, and training logs.

 

Sales, Marketing & Training

• Promote spa treatments, memberships, and retail products to increase revenue.

• Support marketing initiatives, promotions, and special spa events.

• Conduct regular team briefings and motivate staff to achieve upselling targets.

• Provide on-the-job training and ensure all team members follow SOPs and brand standards.

 

Leadership & Team Management

• Assist in staff scheduling, performance evaluations, and disciplinary actions when necessary.

• Ensure positive communication and teamwork among spa staff.

• Maintain professional grooming standards and behavior within the team.

 

FITNESS MANAGER – KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Gym Operations 

• Oversee daily operations of the gym to ensure all equipment and facilities are clean, safe, and well-maintained.

• Conduct opening duties in the morning and ensure the gym is ready for guest use before opening hours.

• Regularly inspect gym machines and equipment, reporting any faults or maintenance needs immediately.

• Maintain hygiene standards and ensure all cleaning and sanitation protocols are followed.

• Ensure towels, water, and amenities are available and replenished as needed.

 

Guest Interaction & Assistance

• Greet guests warmly and provide assistance with gym equipment and usage.

• Offer guidance on safe and effective exercise techniques to guests.

• Conduct fitness orientations and basic consultations for new guests alongside with Recreation Manager.

• Maintain a professional and approachable demeanor, ensuring all guests feel comfortable and supported during their workout.

 

Safety & Compliance

• Monitor the gym area continuously during operating hours to ensure guest safety.

• Enforce gym rules and regulations respectfully to maintain order and safety.

• Ensure first aid readiness and immediate response in case of any incident.

• Follow all company health and safety procedures, including emergency protocols.

 

Administration & Reporting

• Handling maintenance issues, incidents, or guest feedback.

• Monitor and manage inventory of gym towels, water bottles, and other supplies.

 

Coordination & Team Support

• Work closely with the Recreation Manager to support overall wellness programs when required.

• Collaborate with Recreation Manager for Fitness Activities which should be done by both Recreation Manager and Fitness Manager.

• Communicate effectively with management regarding any operational updates or guest concerns.

 

Professional Standards

• Maintain professional appearance and punctual attendance, particularly for morning operations.

• Uphold Avani+ brand standards in guest service, communication, and behavior.

• Demonstrate enthusiasm for wellness, fitness, and guest engagement.
