Job Description

Oaks Auckland Hotel is looking for a full-time Reservations Coordinator who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is passionate about delivering exceptional service from behind the scenes.

You will play a vital role in managing and coordinating all aspects of the reservations process. From individual bookings to corporate and group stays, your attention to detail, organisation, and communication will ensure a smooth and efficient guest journey before they even arrive.

Key Responsibilities Include:

  • Coordinate all aspects of the reservation process, from enquiry to confirmation, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
  • Act as the primary contact for group and corporate bookings, maintaining strong relationships with clients and stakeholders.
  • Report directly to the Hotel Manager, keeping them informed of all reservation activities and trends.
  • Support and train front office staff on reservation procedures and systems to ensure consistency and accuracy.
  • Upsell hotel services and offerings during the booking process to enhance guest experience and maximise revenue.
  • Assist the front desk team with guest service as required.
  • Identify and implement opportunities for process improvement and greater operational efficiency.
  • Ensure all health, safety, and security protocols are followed in line with company policy.

Shift Details (subject to change):

  • Full time position
  • Monday to Friday
  • 9.00am to 5.30pm

Qualifications

Successful candidates will have:

  • Previous experience in a reservations or front office role, preferably within a hotel environment.
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills and proficiency with Opera (preferred).
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to build strong relationships with guests, clients, and team members.
  • A proactive and solution-focused mindset, with a high level of organisation and attention to detail.
  • A confident and approachable personality with a passion for delivering outstanding service.
  • Flexibility to work weekends and public holidays as rostered.
