Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and efficient Kitchen Technician to join our team in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. As a Kitchen Technician, you will play a crucial role in maintaining and repairing kitchen equipment to ensure smooth operations in our commercial kitchen facilities.

  • Perform regular maintenance and repairs on various kitchen equipment, including ovens, refrigerators, dishwashers, and food processors
  • Troubleshoot and diagnose issues with kitchen appliances and systems
  • Conduct routine inspections to identify potential problems and prevent equipment breakdowns
  • Install new kitchen equipment and ensure proper setup and calibration
  • Implement and maintain safety protocols in the kitchen area
  • Manage inventory of spare parts and supplies for kitchen equipment
  • Coordinate with kitchen staff and management to minimize disruptions during maintenance and repair work
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and equipment status
  • Stay updated on the latest kitchen equipment technologies and maintenance techniques
  • Respond promptly to emergency repair requests to minimize downtime in kitchen operations

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in kitchen equipment maintenance or a related field
  • Strong knowledge of commercial kitchen equipment and appliances
  • Proficiency in troubleshooting and repairing various kitchen systems
  • Basic understanding of plumbing and electrical systems
  • Familiarity with food service industry standards and regulations
  • Valid food safety certification (e.g., ServSafe)
  • Excellent problem-solving and time management skills
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work efficiently under pressure
  • Good communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with kitchen staff
  • Physical ability to lift heavy equipment and work in a fast-paced environment
  • Vocational training in kitchen equipment maintenance is preferred
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
