Job Description
Join our dynamic culinary team as a Commis Chef - Pizza Maker in the vibrant city of Dubai, United Arab Emirates! We're seeking a detail-oriented and efficient individual to create mouthwatering pizzas that will delight our customers.
- Prepare and handle pizza dough with precision and care
- Create a variety of pizzas according to recipes and customer preferences
- Maintain a clean and organized workstation, adhering to food safety and hygiene standards
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely preparation and delivery of orders
- Assist in inventory management and ingredient preparation
- Contribute to menu development and pizza specials
- Operate and maintain pizza-making equipment
- Adapt to fast-paced environment during peak hours
- Provide excellent customer service by accommodating special requests when possible
Qualifications
- 1-2 years of experience in a professional kitchen, preferably with pizza-making experience
- Proficiency in pizza-making techniques, including dough preparation and handling
- Strong knowledge of ingredients and flavor combinations
- Excellent food safety and hygiene practices
- Basic knife skills and ability to work with various kitchen equipment
- High school diploma or equivalent; culinary certificate or diploma preferred
- Food safety certification
- Knowledge of Italian cuisine, particularly pizza styles and ingredients
- Strong time management and multitasking abilities
- Team player with excellent communication skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle pressure
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends
- Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 pounds
