Job Description

Data Analysis & Reporting:

   - Collect and analyze data from various sources (PMS, RMS, and OTAs) to identify trends and provide actionable insights.

   - Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly revenue performance reports, including forecasting and benchmarking analysis.

   - To actively participate in the production of the hotel’s annual budget and to assist in the creation, update and evaluation of the hotel Sales and Marketing plan.

   - Monitor competitor availability and pricing on a daily basis, using all available tools.

    - Ensure weekly/monthly reporting to the regional/corporate office is adhered to in a timely manner.

 Strategy Implementation:

   - To prepare weekly accurate 3 months forecast for hotel rooms revenue by Market Segment.

   - To prepare monthly accurate 12 months forecast for hotel rooms revenue by Market Segment.

   - To set and effectively communicate the hotel pricing strategy by market segment with reference to market intelligence, buying patterns and pre-determined seasonality.

   - To prepare and chair a weekly Revenue Meeting. Collate and distribute meeting minutes of notes on forecast and strategy changes, including weekly action plan.

   - Monitor and ensure the alignment of rates and availability across all distribution channels.

   - Provide support with the tactical implementation of revenue initiatives, such as promotions, flash sales, and last-minute offers.

   - Assist in the overall rate loading process throughout Minor distribution network.

   - To be part of all Revenue management related meetings and take note of specific action points that is to be noted, circulated and put in action.

   - Responsible to drive maximum revenues through preferred channels by applying relevant pricing and inventory management.

 

Revenue Optimization:

   - Help optimize room inventory and pricing to maximize hotel revenues.

   - To continuously manipulate availability & rates while ensuring parity across all distribution channels.  This allows maximum flexibility to capture all market buying patterns while optimising REVPAR.

   - Support the evaluation of market demand, booking trends, and competitor analysis to suggest revenue-maximizing adjustments.

   - Collaborate with the marketing and sales teams to align strategies for targeted revenue growth.

   - To introduce incremental revenue generators to maximise overall hotel revenue.

   - Ensure optimal use, and measure performance on all distribution channels, to ensure that fair market share is achieved if not surpassed.

  System Support & Maintenance:

   - Provide support in the management and maintenance of the Revenue Management Systems (RMS) and ensure data accuracy.

   - Assist with troubleshooting system-related issues and coordinate with IT or external vendors for resolution.

   - Ensure available technology (PMS & RMS) is fully utilized and understood according to property specific business mix and requirements.

   - Maintaining high standards of data quality through system maintenance.

  Training & Development:

   - Assist in training hotel teams on revenue management tools, systems, and strategies.

   - Stay updated with the latest trends, tools, and techniques in revenue management and share knowledge with the broader team.

   - Be responsible for all Recruitment & Selection into the Revenue/Reservation department.

   - Ensure an effective Training & Development Calendar is in place & adhered to, that all Team members have a Personal Development Plan and clearly defined objectives, and that a Succession Plan exists within the department.

Collaboration & Communication:

   - Work closely with the hotel(s) general managers, S&M and front-office teams to ensure that revenue strategies are effectively implemented at the property level.

   - Communicate performance insights and recommend adjustments to hotel teams and regional leadership.

   - To ensure compliance with brand, regional and owning company Processes and Procedures pertaining to Revenue Management.

   - To provide the sales team with performance analysis of top producing accounts, thus providing required analysis to support pricing and re-contracting.

   - Set monthly targets of upselling revenue for front office and reservations department.

   - Assist the Sales & Marketing Team in devising marketing campaigns, to ensure that the Hotel reaches the right people, at the right time, in the right place.

Qualifications

Qualifications & Experience:

 - Bachelor's degree in Hospitality, Business, or related field.

 - 3-5 years of experience in a revenue management role within the hospitality industry.

 - Proficient in revenue management systems (e.g., Opera, IDeaS, STR, or similar).

 - Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and provide actionable insights.

 - Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

 - Familiarity with hotel operations and distribution channels.
