Job Description

The Accountant will be responsible for the following duties:

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records for the organization
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable accounting regulations and standards
  • Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
  • Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable processes
  • Reconcile bank statements and general ledger accounts
  • Assist in the development and implementation of accounting policies and procedures
  • Participate in the budgeting process and provide variance analysis
  • Coordinate with external auditors during annual audits
  • Prepare and file tax returns and other regulatory reports
  • Monitor cash flow and assist in cash management strategies
  • Perform month-end and year-end close procedures
  • Maintain fixed asset records and calculate depreciation
  • Assist in financial forecasting and risk management activities
  • Provide financial analysis and reports to support decision-making
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure accurate financial data collection and reporting

This role plays a key part in supporting the Finance Department in all aspects of accounting, reporting, and internal controls, contributing to effective financial decision-making for the organization.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

  • Professional certification (e.g., CPA, ACCA) is an advantage.

  • Minimum 2–3 years of relevant accounting experience; hospitality experience preferred.

  • Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting.

  • Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Oracle, SAP) and MS Excel.

  • High level of accuracy, attention to detail, and organizational skills.

  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
