Job Description
The Account Receivable and Income Officer is responsible for managing and maintaining accurate records of accounts receivable transactions, ensuring timely collections, and processing income for the organization. This role requires close attention to detail, the ability to analyze financial data, and effective communication skills to work with clients and internal teams.
Account Receivable Management:
- Monitor, track, and maintain accounts receivable balances.
- Prepare and send invoices to clients as per the agreed terms.
- Follow up on overdue payments and communicate with clients to resolve any discrepancies.
- Perform regular account reconciliations and resolve any discrepancies or issues.
Income Processing:
- Record income transactions and ensure proper documentation.
- Process incoming payments, including bank transfers, cheques, and cash.
- Maintain accurate records of income and receipts.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in accounts receivable, income management, or a related field.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting.
- Proficient in using accounting software.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to handle client inquiries effectively.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Knowledge of local tax regulations and compliance is a plus.
