Job Description
The Hygiene Officer will lead below responsibilities under OHS Manager of the Executive Office department Leadership:
- Implement, monitor and maintain food safety policies in line with regulatory standards.
- Ensure compliance with local regulations related to food safety and hygiene in kitchen, storage, service areas and water bottling plants.
- Assist OHS Manager in conducting regular Internal Food Safety Inspections and audits.
- Prepare Internal inspection and audit reports for Food safety & Hygiene.
- Recommend corrective actions and verify if they are completed adequately.
- Verify HACCP/ Food safety documents.
- Assist OHS Manager in food safety document updating, controlling and filing.
- Update EFST tracking sheets and ensure that all food handlers are EFST certified.
- Train staff on food handling and hygiene practices. Update training matrix and training tracking sheets.
- Assist OHS Manager in food safety incident investigation and preparation of reports.
- Verify compliance of monthly laboratory sample results for food, water, hand swabs and contact surface swabs.
- Assist OHS Manager in verifying food supplier selection and in conducting supplier audits.
- Participate in Food Safety/ HACCP meetings and assist OHS Manager in preparing the minutes of the meeting.
- Updating and communicating with the team on latest changes in local and international regulations related to food safety.
- Assist in any other requirements related to food safety and hygiene as it may arise
Qualifications
- Luxury hotel experience is a must
- Passion for excellent service
- Excellent team player and great communication skills
- The ideal candidate should have at least 2 years of experience in the same role in an international ultra-luxury resort.
