Job Description

Position Overview:

The role is concerned with improving and growing the business, by establishing and developing relationships with customers, suppliers and other partners in Mainland China, with active direct support to the Business Development Manager – Mainland China. Furthermore, you will promote and support inbound and outbound calling activity at the Call Centre for “Preview Channel” campaigns from Mainland China.

Reporting to the Senior Director of Marketing and Strategic Alliances China, you will support driving maximum return from all our partnership campaigns to meet the commercial objectives for Mainland China, including assuming responsibility for multiple concurrent projects by coordinating activities among multiple internal and external teams. More specifically, you should display the following skills to the highest standards:

  • Market Classification Skills: an in-depth knowledge on Mainland China market, its market classification, demographics, travel trends and innovate ways to improve partnership management.
  • Partnership Management Skills: possess outstanding partnership management and negotiation skills, and continue to acquire and develop new partners and manage existing ones, in parallel to delivering superior B2B relationship experiences with a long-term strategic focus.
  • Communication Skills: have the ability to communicate with clients of all backgrounds and educational levels. Well-developed written and verbal communication skills are must-haves.
  • Organizational Skills: be comfortable juggling numerous clients, on-and off-site meetings, and deadlines. Excellent organisation is needed to manage the many parts of the job and keep client proposals and other tasks on track.
  • Time-management Skills: understand how to prioritize time, and be comfortable managing a calendar and adjusting their schedule as needed.
  • Technical and Computer Skills: have basic technical and computer skills.
  • Self-Motivation: be goal-oriented and commission-driven and have the ambition to push to succeed.
  • Work Ethics:  have good work ethics with a mindful attitude towards the team and senior leadership.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain a preferred network of Strategic Partnerships/Relationship Management in Mainland China.
  • Secure data sources from demographically aligned partner databases.
  • Create detailed marketing plans and campaign calendars for preview channel activities and ensure their successful execution.
  • Follow brand guidelines for approvals and compliance on all marketing materials.
  • Enforce brand awareness and positive digital media presence on potential partner platforms.
  • Liaise with internal Marketing Communications department for project coordination and execution of consistent & high-quality collateral development.
  • Assist the Group Director of Marketing – Strategy and Thailand Operations, Senior Business Development Manager – Mainland China with Budgeting, P&L goals & financial objectives.
  • Maintain reports of all marketing business data points related to the scope of this role.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree. More than 2 years of related working experience in Marketing Alliance or Business Development roles, proven track record of developing new relationships and acquisitions.
  • Cultural sensitivity to regional differences in business development within Mainland China and South-East Asia.
  • Language requirements: Simplified Chinese, Traditional Chinese and English.
