Minor Hotels operates five hotels in Doha under the brands Anantara, Tivoli and Oaks, for which Finance Shared Services are currently being established and implemented. The Senior Finance Manager - Shared Services plays a pivotal role in setting the foundation and steering the team towards operational excellence, with a strong focus on operational finance.

Job Description

You will be supporting the Director of Finance – Shared Services and the Leadership Team by providing useful financial analysis information in a timely and accurate manner. As a Senior Finance Manager, you will ensure daily finance and accounting operations and closing reflects the correct performance and are in line with the company’s Finance and Accounting policies. You will be part of the annual budget preparation and you will be advising the Director of Finance – Shared Services and the Leadership Team on operational cost and profit throughout the year.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Lead month-end and year-end closing procedures.
  • Lead the control of inventory, credit and collection, disbursements.
  • Establish adequate controls for all revenues and expenses and safeguard of assets.
  • Maintains up-to-date account analysis and reconciliation of accounts.
  • Maintains accurate and timely financial and operating information.
  • Identifies training needs, develops formal training plans and conducts training sessions for finance and operational colleagues in co-ordination with other departments.
  • Assists in implementing and maintaining accounting practices and procedures as required by Minor Hotels policy and procedures, and generally accepted accounting practices.
  • Prepare budget and maintains control on spending to ensure budgetary limits are met.
  • Performs any other related duties and special projects as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in accounting / finance (Master’s Degree is a plus).
  • CPA and audit background are preferred.
  • At least 5-7 years in accounting / financial role, with 3 years on management level.
  • Excellence in English communication and computer literacy.
  • In-depth ability of analytical skills, strong communication and presentation skills.
