Director of Finance

  • Full-time
  • Company Location: Anantara Jaipur Hotel

Company Description

The newly built Anantara Jaipur Hotel marries classic opulence with contemporary comforts. The signature Indian restaurant serves cuisine fit for royalty, while the rooftop bar offers stunning views of the city along with exotic cocktails.

With magnificent standalone events facilities, the hotel will also host some of the city’s grandest weddings, with a ballroom, banquet room, pavilion, and banquet lawn that can host thousands of guests for multi-day celebrations.

Job Description

As the Financial Director for the hotel, you will be responsible for ensuring strong financial management within a robust control environment. This includes taking ultimate responsibility for accurate accounting records and providing financial reports for the hotel, which operates on a self-accounting basis and includes statutory accounts. You will manage the finance relationship with Operations and Finance at the hotel and head office, ensuring that excellent service is provided through quality input. In addition, you will manage the relevant elements of the owner relationship with confidence and competence.

Your role will involve leading all elements related to balance sheets, P&L, cash management, and capital, amongst others, with precision and expertise. You will provide focused, innovative, and value-adding management reporting and analysis that drives results and deliver high-quality management information and performance measurement that is accurate, relevant, and actionable. Reporting will incorporate benchmarking, identification, and measurement of key performance indicators, and use of a balanced scorecard to drive excellence.

You will optimize and develop systems to improve efficiency and information, with a focus on continuous improvement. Ensuring training takes place for users and challenging processes to eliminate non-value-adding tasks assertively will be important in your role. You will work with colleagues to ensure that errors are corrected at source and processes amended as required, eliminating rather than correcting errors.

Proactively supporting the General Manager and leading the finance team in hotel strategic planning, focusing on value opportunities, will be another key aspect of your role. You will manage the formulation, review, and approval process for budgeting within the hotel, with a focus on driving results. Additionally, you will lead, develop, and inspire a high-quality finance team with authority and confidence, and actively plan for succession to develop and replace individuals effectively, with a focus on building a high-performance team.

Developing the effectiveness of the finance function through continuous training and development of the team, and leading and motivating the team to high levels of performance, with a focus on driving results and achieving excellence, will also be important.
