Job Description

We are currently seeking a Full-time Handyperson to join the team at Oaks Port Douglas Resort. You will be responsible for maintaining the presentation of guest rooms and public areas and carrying out repairs within the property.

About the role:

  • Undertake general repairs and maintenance as required;
  • Provide induction and supervision of external contractors;
  • Implement the preventative maintenance program for each property; and
  • Maintain daily work records and service schedules
  • Work alongside the Resort Gardener 1x day per week.

Qualifications

Successful applicants will have:

  • Previous hands-on building maintenance experience;
  • Previous gardening experience 
  • A passion for delivering exceptional service;
  • Strong time management skills;
  • An excellent work-ethic and proven ability to work unsupervised;
  • Excellent interpersonal and communications
  • Full time availablity
