Please note that this is not an exhaustive list of everything that needs to be done. Avani Hotels employees always find new ways to look after the business, their guests, and their colleagues. Within this, the key responsibilities for this position are:

• Create playlists based on requests & music trends
• Coordinating with other staff members regarding entertainment schedules and event details
• Interacting with clients, answering questions about upcoming events.
• Managing and operating audio and lighting equipment for events such as weddings, corporate parties, proms, or special occasions
• Coordinating with the venue manager to set up equipment before an event begins and breaking it down afterwards
• Selecting the type of music to play based on the event’s theme or genre, including creating a list of songs for each event
• Playing recorded music for dancing or announcing special events at public gatherings
• Coordinating with the event coordinator to ensure that the music is appropriate for the audience and fits the mood of the event
• Weekly communication meeting with F&B managers to discuss next week’s entertainment plan.
• Maintaining order by ensuring that no attendees are violating the rules, such as using foul language or fighting

• Diploma in DJing or Equivalent (Desirable)
• Minimum 2 years’ experience playing in a well-established 5 stay hotel / resort.
• Must currently hold the role applying for.
• Should have qualifications matching to position applying for.
• A positive and energetic attitude.
• Trackable references to support the role applied for.
