The key responsibilities for this position are:

  • To complete activities on the preventive maintenance schedule and breakdown maintenance to ensure non interrupted service to the resort. All the plant room such as powerhouse, WTP, RO plants under your responsibility as specified in hotel plans.
  • Maintaining records of generator usage and performance, including fuel consumption, rates, and machine adjustments
  • Performing maintenance on generators, including lubricating moving parts and replacing filters
  • Troubleshooting problems that occur with generators, including overheating or low oil levels that can damage internal components.
  • Operate and maintain the Reverse Osmosis Plant to produce optimum quality, potable water.
  • Maintain the treatment plant systems. Maintain and operate the filtering and chemical treatment processes.
  • Always ensure an adequate supply of water.
  • To look after guest safety, and address any guest issues as quickly as possible, ensuring that they are completely happy with the work done.
  • To complete activities on the preventive maintenance schedule as specified in hotel plans.
  • To look after all the tools supplied by the Hotel in a professional manner, and correctly maintain and deposit them after finishing the shift.
  • To clean all work areas after finishing the tasks properly.
  • To follow all safety procedures while carrying out any tasks.
  • To always maintain effective communication with the Shift Leader.
  • To actively participate in the energy conservation programs of the Hotel.
  • To utilize or recommend usage of all environmentally friendly products in the workplace.
  • To suggest cost saving ideas as and when possible, not limited to the Engineering Department.

 

Qualifications

  • 2 to 3 years experience in a similar role in a five-star luxury Hotel / Resort
  • Excellent communication skills; fluency in English is required
  • Computer skills in MS Office is preferred
  • NVQ level 4 or above, CITY and guild Diploma
