Job Description

  1. Works under the supervision of the Director of Activities and Experience to assists in the day-to-day gym operation. Coordinate and recommend new ideas or ways to increase revenues and achieve monthly financial targets.
  2. Teach variety of fitness classes and one to one training as scheduled, assist members and guests in their personal workout programs. To uphold professional sage and effective fitness procedures, programs and activities in the workout room – ensuring correct exercise practice at all times.
  3. Carry out fitness testing, evaluations, design workout programs and fitness instruction. To assist in giving cross trainings lectures for other team members who are doing their cross-training exposure to the department.
  4. Supervise the cleanliness and maintenance of the Fitness center (gym) ensuring cleaning standards are met and gym machines and equipment’s are always in good working conditions. Report any machine or equipment damage or issue to the direct head or to the concern department.
  5. Have a complete knowledge of the services recreation department and the hotel is offering. Keep abreast on the new offers or promotions from other departments and up sell to the guests in order for them to experience these activities
  6. Work closely with the team members of the department and develop a strong working environment with the other departments.
  7. Attract/Motivate guests to use the fitness facilities and its services.
  8. Prepare purchase requisitions, order supplies and materials.  Responds to guests complains, inquiries and request for information.
  9. Be able to assume other duties as requested by management.

  4. To keep updated on the latest development in Health and Fitness by pursuing knowledge and programs as required.

Qualifications

  1. Knowledge in methods, techniques, principles and procedures on different fitness classes performed.
  2. Fitness instructor certifications or its equivalent.
  3. CPR and lifesaving certifications.
  4. Familiar with the use of windows applications and programs such as excel, MS Word, Outlook, OPERA etc.
  5. A bachelor’s degree from a college or university with major course work related to health and science, recreation administration or a related field.
