Job Description

E- Commerce Executive is a support for the defined strategy and execution of digital media and ecommerce activity for Resort or other designated destinations. This position will also support hotel marketing and revenue management by co-developing digital marketing and Ecommerce programs. Digital marketing efforts will include: Search Engine Marketing (including PPC and SEO), Mobile Marketing, Display Advertising, Social Media advertisement and assisting with Social Media Planning. This position will also support DOSM in overseeing all digital and ecommerce activity including the management of the hotel’s online spa, digital F&B, online activities, online upgrade systems, apps or any additional initiatives that will drive performance for the region.

Electronic Distribution

- To implement Hotels long-term distribution strategy for OTA and GDS working in line with corporate guidelines for Minor hotels or properties as designated.

- To monitor and report on the hotels’ effective use of electronic distribution tools and extranets and procedures in areas of business intelligence to maximize competitive advantage in the marketplace.

- To assist and support DOSM in providing the hotels with external market intelligence using tools such as OTA Insight, Fornova, SynXis, Competitive Intelligence, Rate View Hotelbenchmark.com, access to a Global Distribution data, Internet web sites and corporate resources.

E-Commerce

- To assist and support DOSM in coordinating the development of e-Commerce tactics for the individual hotels in line with corporate guidelines, including SEO, SEM campaign preparation and analysis. 

- Pro-actively support the implementation of best practice rules to optimize content (images, content, links, and accurate translations) relevancy, accuracy and performance on Brand.com and work with the Marketing & Communications team on corrective actions.

- Support the development measure and optimization of ROI on new traffic generating channels.

- E-Commerce - Hotel website management, mini-site development management, etc.

- Support and be pro-active engaged in developing the Ecommerce strategies and best practices for the hotel web site such as content management, traffic driving tactics and strategies in conjunction with DOSM. 

- Work closely with Marketing Communication team to maintain relevant and search oriented key words and is up to date and optimized in all languages

- Serve as primary point of contact for each hotel within the responsible area for digital marketing/E-Commerce related questions and activities appointed by the Area Director of E-Commerce.

- Collaborate with partner agencies appointed by DOSM to develop annual business plans for responsible hotels to ensure sound comprehensive strategic recommendations and ensure ROI goals are achieved for SEO, PPC, mobile and social activity.

- Pro-actively assist in executing social media activities appointed by DOSM, which will include posting on social medias according to guidelines provided by DOSM, assisting Marketing Communication managers put together creative strategies to generate Fan Base.

- Working with agency on tagging and monitoring social media performance using approved tools.

- Responsible to drive/evaluate business case documents put together by hotels for use of Facebook, Instagram, or other social media channel requests to drive production to our websites.

Revenue Management and Pricing: 

- Support DOSM to be able to assist the revenue team at each property in maximizing revenue and yield through business trend analysis, highlighting areas of opportunity in Electronic distribution strategies on an ongoing basis.

- Support to monitor and control that the distribution through all channels is in line with Minor Hotels’ Distribution strategy and closely monitor business shifts between channels (Channel Management).

- Support to monitor and control that the Dynamic Pricing Strategies is adhered to and promoted with global and local distribution partners.

Strategy and Budget Management:

- Support in gathering market data to assist DOSM to be able to set overall digital and ecommerce direction to help drive room and other related revenues (i.e. F&B, spa, meetings, etc.)

- Contribute to maintain overall hotel digital and ecommerce budget and related vendor/agency relationships (i.e. Supporting billing and invoicing needs with each individual hotel, etc.)

- Contribute to identify, articulate and rationalize insights and recommendations to senior hotel management and corporate.

Project and Third-Party Agency Management:

- When appointed by DOSM with digital and Ecommerce industry representatives (i.e. vendors, agencies, media partners such as Google, Baidu, IKoo etc.) to gain insight to best practices.

Qualifications

Required Skills: 

• Demonstrated ability to interact with customers, employees and third parties that reflects highly on the hotel, the brand and the Company.

•  Problem solving and organizational abilities.

•  Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office

•  Good writing skills

Qualifications: 

•  Diploma or Vocational Certificate in Sales & Marketing, Hotel Management, Business Administration, or related field preferred. 

Experience  :

2 year related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
