Oaks Melbourne on Market Hotel is seeking a full-time Chef de Partie. Oak & Vine is building an accomplished, exceptional and talented restaurant team. We are looking for long-term team members who can commit to at least 1 year of service with the F&B team. 

Work with a multicultural team in a compact high-volume kitchen for the Oak and Vine restaurant, bar and room service. No late hours, we close at 10/11pm! Close to public transport. 

EXPERIENCE / DUTIES 

• Producing high quality meals for our patrons
• Assisting in creating menu items, recipes and developing dishes
• Supporting the Head Chef in day-to-day operations of the kitchen
• Demonstrate high standards of food production and presentation
• The ability to work smoothly under pressure and remain calm in a busy work environment
• Enjoy working with a team environment
• Excellent communication skills
• Reliable, punctual and trustworthy
• Motivated and passionate about creating great quality food for our guests
• Supervising, training and mentoring kitchen staff
• Maintaining a clean and organised kitchen 

• Relevant cookery qualifications (Minimum Cert III Commercial Cookery)
• A minimum of two years experience in a busy hotel or restaurant environment
• Experienced in Banquet style cooking
• Demonstrated experience working without supervision in a busy environment
• Have a passion and pride in your abilities and the hospitality industry
