Job Description

Check opening procedure details for morning shift and closing procedure detail for evening shift by using checklist. To fully understand all company Policies & Procedures.

Have initiative and be creative in making special offers, if necessary. To support and attend all training programs requested from head office.

To check all maintenance in the spa locations, make work order if necessary and inform to Spa Manager for further follow up.

Check reservation book and co-ordinate effective break times for rest, lunch and dinner.

To make sure the areas look clean and neat. In charge as a Receptionist if necessary, in emergencies, such as: Answer any call within three rings and make sure to hold the first call if another call come in white alone.

To answer all guest questions regarding spa offerings, appointment availability, length and cost of treatment.

To schedule appointment in such a way that staff is available to handle all bookings or work with other spas to have staff sent in for assistance.

To politely confirm name, treatment appointment time, and cancellation policy to all guests before ending phone conversations. Interact with guest, including but not limited:

Dealing with guest complaints, conducting spa tours, assisting spa promotions, assisting with travel agent site inspections. To ensure the up selling of treatments and retail in the spa.

Recreation

Create new, unique and interesting recreation activities that draw upon the best cultural, sporting or other offerings of the area in which the hotel is located. To continually be positioning the sports and leisure offering as a differentiator and a point of competitive advantage for the hotel. Ensure outsourced service provides are of good quality.
• To have a complete knowledge of the products and services offered by the hotel.
• To lead the implementation of all health and safety codes in the sports and leisure activities of the hotel, and to take full and complete care of children.
• Take the lead on the Anantara Children programme.
• Ensure that all activities are performed in a safe environment using proper safety techniques. Train and assist in the evaluation of attendants who work with fitness programs. Supervise instructors and all other associates helping with any activities or functions arranged.
• Use qualified attendants in all areas where relevant qualifications are required, i.e. Fitness leader, Aerobic Instructors, Lifeguard.
• Monitor the success of the activity’s programs through the number of participants per scheduled event and through guests’ feedback. Make necessary adjustments to maintain top quality, fun filled and original programs for hotel guests.
• Prepare and circulate clear information to guests of the events offered by the hotel in conjunction with the Anantara Concierge.
• Develop and maintain a strong working environment with the other departments.
• Ensure appropriate staffing given the activities on offer and the guest mix in the hotel
• Ensure proper accounting procedures are followed when collecting of charging fees for Recreations
• Be prepared to assume other Recreation’s duties or responsibilities as requested by management.
 

Qualifications

Bachelors degree in any related field
• Minimum of 3 years experience in the hospitality industry
• Good computer & presentation skills
• Advanced English language ability and knowledge of other languages would be an advantage
• Excellent customer service and leadership skills
