Job Description

  • Ensure quality standard of maintenance of upholstery, curtains, linen and uniforms of the entire hotel in accordance with the NH Hotels standards so as to achieve highest guest and team members satisfaction.
  • Check linen and uniforms received from the Laundry Department/outside laundry after washing for any requirement of repair or broken button etc.
  • Carry out stitching, repair, mending and hemming of upholstery, curtains, linen, uniforms or any type of item made of fabric, lying in any area of the hotel. Major repairs should be immediately brought to the notice of the housekeeping leader.
  • Draw new or repairing material and replenish items if required.
  • Ensure that the sewing machine is properly cleaned and maintained.
  • Assist in maintenance of Linen and Uniforms Room.
  • Report any discrepancy, loss or damage to property to the housekeeping leader.
  • Perform all such functions as may be incidental or ancillary to the above functions.
  • Perform any other function as may be assigned by the management.
  • Provide necessary feedback on all important activities to the housekeeping leader.
  • Abide by the policies, rules and regulations of the Hotel on various issues / matters and Local Standard Operating Procedures.
  • Ensure personal hygiene and be well groomed in appearance by wearing a smart, clean and tidy dress with a name tag.
  • Maintain a professional image and be friendly and cheerful under all circumstances.

  • Atleast 1 year experience on the same role
  • Good English communication skills
  • Passion for quality and attention to details
  • Good guest service and interpersonal skills
