KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Marketing Communications Manager will be responsible for supporting the development and implementation of the specific Anantara Downtown Dubai Hotel marketing strategies and plans to achieve each brand’s awareness and revenue objectives including but not limited to brand strategy, offline & digital strategy and execution, media planning, PR, Social Media, strategic partnerships, exhibitions & travel trade participation and event management whilst effectively monitoring the marketing budget.
Marketing Communications will also be responsible for supporting, developing, and launching marketing campaigns externally as well as internal communications initiatives and communications in line with Anantara's vision and business strategy to enhance the brand awareness, increase interest, generate leads, and enhance the positioning of the brand.
Please note that this is not an exhaustive list of everything that needs to be done. Anantara employees always find new ways to look after the business, their guests, and their colleagues. Within this, the key responsibilities for this position are:
- Develop the Marketing and PR strategy for the select property, obtain approval from operational and functional leads, and then oversee the implementation of the approved strategy.
- Be aware of activities in the resort (F&B promotions, VIP arrivals, new appointments, or promotions of team members) that should trigger media interest – compile an annual calendar of events and updates this quarterly
- Excellent command of the English language, both written and spoken, for liaison with media, writing of press material, writing of internal communications, marketing copywriting, and proofreading.
- Ensure that you fully understand the business strategy and positioning of the Anantara brand and that you are able to effectively articulate this positioning in the marketplace. This is the responsibility of ALL sales and marketing professionals, regardless of their responsibility level.
- Maintain a personal up-to-date knowledge of all Anantara product and service offerings, the products, services, rates, and new developments of key competitors, and an awareness of general industry trends.
- Ensure all Marketing collaterals are as per brand standards and audits are conducted regularly across the resort including rooms, dining venues, spa, leisure facilities, meeting and event spaces, in-rooms, and digital screens.
- Prepare presentations of hotel information in the media, on industry websites and directories, and in all other relevant online and paper-based publications.
- Collate and distribute media references to the hotel and the brand, and proactively circulate to all relevant internal parties
- Assist the corporate Marketing & PR teams in all marketing or public relations-focused projects.
- Assist the Director of Sales& Marketing to prepare and monitor the marketing budget on a quarterly and annual basis and allocate funds wisely.
- Acting as a brand guardian on content published on all platforms - offline, online, the media, and social media.
- Brief creative team/agencies and media buying agency on advertising campaigns requirements and deliverables.
- Deploy successful marketing campaigns and own their implementation from ideation to execution by keeping the campaigns consistent with campaign objectives, sales strategy, and media plan.
Qualifications
• Bachelor Degree in marketing, marketing communication or any related field
• At least 5 years experience in PR & marketing communication
• Experienced in writing and editing proposals and publications.
• Strong (written and verbal) communications skills.
• Excellent English skills.
• Ability to meet deadlines
