Job Description

1.     Job Purpose:

 

The Risk Management position will be responsible for continuously maintaining and enhancing the Company’s Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) Program, enabling the business to see risk as a performance lever.

 

In doing the above, working with the representatives of each business group, building trust and confidence, breaking through silos, embrace uncertainty with proactive risk management. Also, embedding data analytics and technologies into the risk management framework to foster standardization and consistency across the Group and affiliated companies.

 

2.     Main Duties:

 

Risk Management Framework and Strategy

·       Assist the Head Of Department (HOD) in the development, implementation and oversight of a global ERM program and ensuring that all procedures, protocols, and strategies are fully implemented

 

Executive Committee, Senior Management, and the Board

·       Facilitate the Risk Committee (RC) meetings, and works with appropriate leaders to foster an insightful discussion and a productive debate on the company’s risks and opportunities

 

Program execution

·       Guides and supports the company’s functions as they execute their risk management responsibilities, driving consistency and robustness across the enterprise,

·       Facilitate regular risk-assessments and escalates key risks and recommendations to the executive management as appropriate,

·       Risk reporting tailored to the relevant audience,

·       Establishes key metrics to monitor the organization’s risk profile and position,

·       Recommend policy changes and provide guidance to business units in the implementation,

·       Monitor loss event reporting and identify emerging risk trends or specific vulnerabilities that are not identified or appropriately prioritized in existing risk assessments,

·       Monitors risks and controls, and where there are issues/failures, develops root cause analysis and ensure corrective actions are implemented,

·       Develops and delivers audience-appropriate ERM trainings to enhance the “culture” of risk management and application of risk management in business processes,

 

Professional knowledge, communication, and teamwork/network

·       Strong interpersonal and communication skills to communicate effectively with all levels both within and outside the company,

·       Serve as a subject matter expert on all risk management related issues,

·       Leverages risk insights to serve as a ‘dot connector’ to promote and ensure a consistent and robust approach to risk management across the enterprise, including aligning with Internal Audit on the creation of the Internal Audit Plan and to influence appropriate coverage of auditable risks,

·       Demonstrate dependability and a commitment to quality and flexibility to ensure needs of the Company’s risk Management goals are met

Qualifications

·       Capability of identifying industry trends and the impact of emerging legislations and risks

·       Managerial courage to confront difficult issues with an appropriate response and communicate appropriately in a timely manner with all stakeholders in those issues

·       Advanced English skill, especially in speaking and writing

·       Able to travel both domestic and overseas

·       Effective interpersonal skills

·       Possess high level of passion to work with team and place emphasize on team member inspiring

·       Strong analytical/quantitative skills

·       Intelligent, clear, and logical thinker

·       Eager to help improving operations process

·       Have good sound judgment and ability to act independently

Education:

·       Master’s degree in business administration, Finance, Accounting (preferably from overseas)

·       Possession of a professional risk or audit certification (CIA/CPA/CISA) is an advantage

Experience:

·       At least 10 year working experience at management level of multi-national company with comprehensive knowledge of Governance, Risks, Compliance and Assurance

·       People and team management experience

·       Experience in working with senior management
