Job Description

Oaks Hotels & Resorts are looking for an experienced and passionate Sous Chef to assist with the kitchen operations at Oaks Cypress Lakes Resort on a full-time basis.

Salary: $63,064 per annum + Super + Company Perks!

This role will involve:

  • Working alongside and supervising kitchen team members ensuring excellence and consistency in the product delivered to customers.
  • Development of new menus and associated costing.
  • Running stock control and managing all BOH food and wage costs.
  • Enforcing daily and weekly systems and procedures to ensure a high level of presentation, hygiene, service, and product quality.
  • Ensuring compliance with all health and safety regulations and food standards.
  • Recruiting, inducting, training and rostering of BOH team member.

Qualifications

You will have:

  • Be in a similar hands-on senior chef position or a second in charge ready to take their career to the next level.
  • Have gained a Certificate in Commercial Cookery Level III or higher.
  • Possess a Food Safe Handler Supervisor Certificate.
  • Be flexible to work a range of different shifts.
  • Be able to work under pressure and within a team environment.
  • Have excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Have a positive and energetic attitude and a passion for consistently presenting excellent meals.
