Job Description

Please note that this is not an exhaustive list of everything that needs to be done.  Anantara employees always find new ways to look after the business, their guests, and their colleagues. The key responsibilities for this position are:

  • Maintain all electrical equipment and all electrical control panels’ inaccurate function
  • Prepare preventive maintenance schedule.
  • Distribute the work to subordinates according to capabilities to get the best results
  • Ensure that the work done by subordinates are according to the specified standard
  • Ensure that all related tools are in a safe place and in good working condition
  • Follow the preventive maintenance chart strictly and maintain records for future reference
  • Coordinate with other departments counterparts and ensure their satisfaction on quality and progress and create healthy inter-department relationships
  • Create opportunities for engineering Colleagues to multitask and increase their skills and knowledge
  • Operate in a safe and environmentally friendly way to protect guests and colleagues’ health and safety, as well as protect and conserve the environment
  • Comply with the hotel environmental, health, and safety policies and procedures
  • Maintaining professional and friendly communications as the first point of call for general external inquiries and correspondence
  • Coordinating all operating systems including ensuring that telephones, computers, printers, photocopiers, recycling, etc are kept in good working order, including maintaining supplies for operating systems and arranging technical support when required
  • Arranging meetings and arranging agenda items

Qualifications

• At least two years' experience in hotel Engineering operations
• Effective supervisory skills
• Good interpersonal skills
• Proficient in English communication
• Eye for detail
