Job Description

The Social Media Executive is responsible for helping in the creation, management and development of MINOR Hotels Social Media activities. This role coordinates with the internal eCommerce and performance managers to support their respective missions, ensuring consistency in voice and cultivating an increased brand equity and company awareness in all areas of social media. The Social Media Executive is responsible for developing and executing a clearly defined social media strategy and must report to both the Social media team and e Commerce departments.


KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Minor employees always find new ways to look after the business, our guests, and our colleagues. The key duties and responsibilities of this role include, but are not limited to:
Develop all-encompassing multi-brand digital marketing strategies

1. Effectively use analytical tools and demographic information to drive social media strategies and SMO strategies to drive performance and revenue to our brand websites.
2. Develop and align Content Strategies across all Digital & Social Media Channels by working with other departments, corporate marketing communications team, and agencies to drive awareness, engagement and traffic to website
3. Drive engagement growth via social media and content strategies in alignment with overall content strategies 
4. Plan content for Instagram, Facebook, and any new channels, align campaigns with the marketing calendar and seasonal creative concepts 
5. Respond to all messages/comments on social media platforms (Facebook & Instagram) on a weekly basis
6. Create monthly Instagram benchmark report against each Compset for each brand
7. Maintain and update the social media content, coordinating with stakeholders across MH to ensure its effectiveness and encouraging adoption of relevant social media techniques into the corporate culture and into all the company’s products and services
8. Plan and drive the social media platforms in use on the company’s sites, as well as assisting in the social product roadmap planning.
9. Ensure a superior quality of communication and project delivery in all areas of digital/social media.
10. Drive the social media culture with our hotel by the creation and updating of policies and training across all brands.
11. Execute social media campaigns for the brand while ensuring that a consistent marketing message is delivered to the market to grow.
12. Monitor trends in online community tools, trends and new possible applications that need to be integrated with in the CMS and our CRM program.
13. Monitor the competition and be aware of market changes and developments.
14. Analyse existing and potential social media activities and identify and interpret new social media trends for the different geolocation market (China, Russia, Japan, Thailand etc...)

Qualifications

•  Creative, diplomatic, cool under pressure and fantastic interpersonal skills
•  Good communications and writing skills
•  Some project management or organizational skills
•  Understanding of social media platforms and their respective participants (Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, WeChat, Weibo, Pinterest, and Twitter)
•  Understanding of the linkage between social media the impact to the business
•  Some knowledge of blogging ecosystem relevant to the company’s field
•  Ability to effectively communicate information and ideas in written and verbal format to board level, and build and maintain relationships
•  Some technical understanding and can pick up new tools quickly
•  Analytical skills and research skills
•  Ability to multitask and meet targets
