Job Description

  • Directly responsible for managing capital spend for assigned projects. 
  • Handles all project commitments in SCM and ensures funding is coordinated with Accounting. 
  • Independently Manage the Procure to Pay process for approved capital equipment expenditure . Administration of the bidding and procurement processes to determine appropriate selection of external consultants, contractors, vendors, and other professionals.
  • Undertake negotiation with suppliers to resolve disputes, contract terms variations and enforce contractual obligations.
  • Manage contract and  designated supplier relationships through supervision of supplier performance, delivery, and quality, to ensure project timelines are not compromised. Data input and quality control performance data for monthly reporting.
  • Resolves contract and implementation issues. 
  • Actively runs and influences supplier continuous improvement performance in the areas of quality improvement, cost avoidance, and innovation. 
  • Contributes to the Budgeting, Organizational Change and Forecasting of assigned projects. Monitor and ensure budget and quality standards are met and projects are executed in a timely manner.
  • Thorough knowledge of applicable requirements, regulations, codes and laws.
  • Ability to manage stakeholders in a highly project driven environment dealing with tight deadlines
  • Strong analytical, planning, interpersonal and organizational skills.
  • Ensure appropriate attention is paid to lifecycle costs, energy use, sustainability, durability of materials and equipment, and maintenance issues.
  • Strong knowledge in computer (MS Word, Excel, PPT, )

Qualifications

  • Professional Experience
    • 5 years’ Operational Experience within a Supply Chain Management environment with a strong understanding of Capital Procurement and contracts management.
    • Experience in working with Projects is essential
    • Understanding of transactional sourcing, procurement, and contract management frameworks
    • Industry experience within logistics, construction  will be advantageous
  • Education
    • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain or Engineering [Civil, Mechanical, Electrical], or equivalent qualification from well-known and reputed education organization.
    • Professional Procurement qualification, preferred
    • Project Management certification , preferred
    • Proven experience of change management
