Job Description

As a Hygiene Officer, you are responsible for the conformity with all corporate, federal and local regulations related to Sanitation, Food Safety, Occupational Health and Safety and Environmental regulations, whereas your role involves the implementation of HACCP & OHSE programs. 

Qualifications

  • Holder of a basic Food, Health & Hygiene Certificate and Intermediate in HACCP.
  • Excellent communication both written and oral in English
  • Ability to be self-motivated, organized and demonstrate good team work
  • Good Computer literacy (Microsoft applications)
  • Minimum of 2 years experienced in a Safety & Hygiene officer or a related role in the hospitality industry

KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

- Complete responsibility for the highest level of sanitation and hygiene standards. To ensure all food served to guests and employees are free of microbiological, chemical and physical contamination and all work areas conform to minimum required Hygiene and sanitation standards.

- Verification of CCP records.

- Verification of receiving records and match with health certificate for imported items.

- Food sampling and follow up for original certificate and payment etc.

- Gather relevant information and records for any alleged food borne illness.

- Ensure internal audit for the month is completed.

- Verify the records of reported sickness of food handlers and status of their health checkup.

- Verification of all stewarding files.

- Verification of engineering files (PM, Calibration, Chiller monitoring etc...)

- Conduct FSMS meeting.

- Conduct FSMS training on monthly basis.

- Conduct supplier audits on monthly basis.

- Conduct FSMS brief during orientation.
